BHA member representatives recently met in North Dakota for an official site visit with one of the four BHA-funded researcher teams. John Finley, Ph.D., and Philip Reeves, Ph.D., of the USDA/ARS, Grand Forks, North Dakota, USA, hosted their visitors. The team’s research is, “Beans and Colon Health in Humans: Effects of Resistant Starch from Beans on Changing the Lower Bowel Bacterial Populations and the Production of Short Chain Fatty Acids.”
